Since Cappadocia is really wide area with 5000 kilometers, it is kind of difficult to travel whole area at once because there is a ot of incredible places to see. So seperating it to parts and travelling slowly in a spesific are will going to make your trip more enjoyable and you will be able to learn more about nature and culture in Cappadocia. That’s why, tourism agencies and travellers are generally prefering to travel in this routes.
The first type of route is the red tour. It is the most preferred tour in Cappadocia. On this tour you will visit the fairy chimneys and other famous sightseeing spots in Cappadocia. In the red tour, you will usually visit the most famous destinations of Cappadocia. Red tour region is in between Avanos , Nevşehir and Ürgüp. Generally, balloon flights, ATV tours, horseback and camel riding are also held in this area.
The first one type of route is region tour as known as “red tour”. In this tour you will going to visit fairy chimneys and the other famous sightseeing points in Cappadocia. Even though there may be some little changes in this tour, but generally whole itinerary is same.
Second type of tour is Ihlara valley tour as known as “green tour”.In this tour you will going to visit natural and historical scructure of Cappadocia. You will going to see underground cities that humans used to live and hid together.Even though there is 200+ undergroud cities in the area, you only can visit Derinkuyu, Kaymaklı, Ozkonak and Kayasehir underground cities. Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı is the most preferred undergroung cities in the area. And for walking tours you can go to Ihlara valley, this valley is inside of an important valley and has 15 meters of depth, 200 meters of width.
The third tour is the Soğanlı tour, which has a trip that where you will visit the Greek villages and churches known as the Blue tour. Especially Mustafapaşa (Sinasos) has the best Greek houses since the wealthiest Greeks living in the region. This tour includes the Roman period ancient city of Sobebsos and the church frescoes that you can only see by candlelight.
