TREASURES THAT HAVE FOUND IN CAPPADOCIA

Cappadocia area has been peoples’ home for a really long time. Before then in humanity history, humans used to keep their valuable things inside of their house. So, in any kind of unexpected situations like war etc. they had to leave their houses. Generally some of these peoples couldn’t make it back, the treasures had been stayed in there.
On 30 January 1923, the governments of Greece and Turkey signed for exchange of population between this two countries. At least 1,600,000 of peoples has been moved from their hometown. Approximately 60,000 peoples has been replaced to Cappadocia and you can see cultural effects of this in the area too, but except from that, peoples had their personal treasures and goldens in pots in their house. Big majority of the treasures in this area are actually these personal assestsn and you can find some of them in Nevsehir Museum. Also, a 2200 years old stone tomb from Roman Empire has been found im 2019.
