GEMSTONES IN CAPPADOCIA

Cappadocia has various of gemstones but especially three of them are pretty popular. These are onyx, zultanite and turquoise. Onyx is a translucent semi-precious stone with black and gray in color that has light bands. It has an opaque appearance with impressive shine. There are some belies that this stone is bringing luck in life and relationships.

Zultanite is a really rare mineral diaspore stone that mined in the Ilbir Mountains of southwest Turkey at 12.000 km (4000 feet). Zultanite is a stone that changes its colors by light source, it changes between yellowish green, light gold, and purplish pink.

ZULTANITE

Turquoise is an opaque shiny stone that mining in the Usa, Israel, Mexico ,Afghanistan, Iran. The word turquoise is actuallly coming from the French turquois meaning "Turkish" because the mineral was first brought to Europe through Turkey from mines in the historical Khorasan of Iran.
